The layers of characters created intrigue from the beginning. The storyline is so well planned, and each character is integrated into the story with such details as to create visuals in my mind. As an historical fiction, I’m very impressed with the historical events’ accuracies. I also appreciated the journal entries at the beginning of each chapter which tied everything together towards the end. I was very happily surprised with the ending.
